Its been a busy few weeks for our underage squads and another one ahead of them this weekend.....
Under 17s
Our Under 17s squad have been training hard over recent months in preparation for this weekends U17 All Britain blitz taking place at Parc na hEireann in Birmingham. A Lancashire squad will travel to the West Midlands on Saturday and will feature many of our St Lawrence's players. We wish James, Liz, Andy Kane and all the boys the very best for which I am sure will be a very competitive tournament.
U7s / U9s / U15s
Our Under 7s, Under 9s and Under 15s squads will travel over to North Manchester to the home of St Peters GAA (Sedgley Park Rugby, Park Lane, Whitefield, M45 7DZ) who are hosting an underage Go Games blitz. Under 15s start at 1pm with Under 7s & Under 9s due to commence at 2:30pm. St Lawrence's will be bringing a number of teams at these age groups and we wish all the coaches, boys & girls the very best of luck for the day.
U11s / U13s / U14s Girls / Minis
Following on from last weekends fabulous Go Games blitz at Turn Moss, where there were 150+ children taking part in gaelic games on the day, Our Under 11s, Under 13s and Under 14s Girls squads return to training at the usual time of 2pm. It was great to welcome some mentors and players from Brothers Pearse, Huddlesfield to take part in last weekends blitz and hopefully our paths will continue to cross as we continue to promote gaelic games across Yorkshire and Lancashire.
There will also be some training at Turn Moss, 2pm for our youngest members (4/5 year olds) who will not be travelling to St Peters for the Under 7 s blitz.
Under 18s Girls / Transition Squad
Our Girls Transition squad will travel the short distance over to Huddersfield (HD1 5BS) on Sunday to take part in the Brothers Pearse Club Day where they will play against Brothers Pearse ladies at 3pm in The Roses' Charity Cup.
As always, a massive thank you for the continued commitment and support from all our wonderful volunteer coaches, players and parents who make this all happen!
If you want your child to get involved, try out a new sport, make new friends then just get in touch via the usual channels. Everyone welcome, no experience necessary.
