Hi all, so now that the World Cup 2026 tournament has concluded we can publish the final standings of our Predictor Competition!
As a reminder, we had 185 entrants in total, meaning we have £925 in the Prize fund to be distributed amongst the top 3 places.
There were still 150 pts left to play for going into the final on Sunday night.
* Tournament Winner (50pts), 56 people correctly predicted Spain to win.
* Golden Boot Winner (50pts), Messi (8 goals, 4 assists) was leading the way going into the final weekend with just 2 people having selected him for the Golden Boot. However, in the end, Kylian Mbappe won the accolade with 10 goals and 4 assists as a result of scoring two goals in the bronze medal playoff game. 49 entrants had picked Mbappe, the bookies favourite, for the golden boot.
* Total Tournament Goals (50pts), 308 goals were scored at World Cup 2026, at an average of 2.96 per match. Just one person (congratulations Gemma Masterson!) correctly predicted 308 goals and secured the 50 pts.
